IMAGINE© ... the possibilities!

IMAGINE© is the acronym of Interactive Music and Graphics Images Nurturing Education. It is a computer system that offers the opportunity for creative expression through the performing arts. It is designed to provide ways for the people it serves to express themselves, learn, and create through creative art expression. Based on the principles of music and art therapy, IMAGINE© creates a unique environment that enhances creativity, self-expression, and artistic awareness.

It uses music and graphic media to address physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of individuals of all ages. Its main purpose is to improve the quality of life for persons who are well and meets the needs of children and adults with disabilities or illnesses. IMAGINE© is used to promote wellness, manage stress, alleviate pain, express feelings, enhance memory, improve communication, promote physical rehabilitation and much more.

IMAGINE© allows individuals to independently choose, create, and develop original recordings and projects.

It consists of four sections that an individual can independently choose to work with:

PLAYThe PLAY section promotes the independent choice. An individual could select the style and title of musical preference. The interface is specially designed so it is accessible through the touch of a finger and provides total control (play, stop, select style, select title, random selection volume control etc.) of the music that it contains. Pre-existing music in the popular MP3 and/or MIDI format is used. In addition the therapist can utilize the included music production software tools to record and create their own music. The music created by the therapist and/or music created by anyone within IMAGINE© can be also added to the existing music library and played back through the same software interface.

RECORDThe RECORD section provides methods and tools that enhance creativity, self-expression, interaction, and learning through the independent composition and arrangement of music. The music created can be added to the music library and played back at any time by any user of IMAGINE© when in PLAY mode.

DRAWThe DRAW section, expands artistic awareness through colorful graphic images translated into sounds and melodies. An individual could use basic shapes and the color of his/her choice to create colorful drawings. Every drawing is translated into music in real time during its creation. The user has the ability to print his/her own signed “masterpiece” at any time.

FUNThe FUN section invites you to explore the various environments displayed on your screen as well as use digital signals to activate a sensory environment of sight and sound independently. Various pre-designed themed environments are used to enhance the experience within IMAGINE© and promote all the aforementioned elements of wellness, manage stress, enhance memory, improve communication and physical movement.
